I am sorry to report that I was sorely disappointed. I followed the directions exactly, but the unit did not cool my bedroom even one degree. It is noisy, and it requires constant water refills. I am giving it 2 stars ONLY because it does function as an EXPENSIVE fan and humidifier. However, in my experience, it got no stars as a cooling device.
